Desire Luzinda’s latest track “Kimala” might be a direct message to the public and media. Kimala means ‘enough’ in direct English translation. Even when the theme of the song is about love, it can be interpreted to come from the heart. The song starts with the chorus, where she calls out to her lover in this case, the audience, asking them to find a place for her in their hearts so that she can keep serving them even when they are not giving her money. On the first verse she sings of those judging her yet she doesn’t deserve it. She cautions listeners to think of how she feels as though they don’t know the effect of love. In the second verse she sings of her journey, saying she cannot do it on her own, her audience is her energy. It is fully heartfelt with a touch of zouk beats.
