Daniella takes talk about her relationship challenges to YouTube

Daniella Atim has launched a YouTube channel where she plans to share her experiences during her relationship with singer Joseph Mayanja alias Jose Chameleone.

The channel, named Diary of a Retired Wife, will be a platform for Daniella to discuss both the positive and negative aspects of her time with Chameleone, from their dating period through to their marriage and eventual separation.

Daniella aims to empower women by speaking on issues often considered taboo and sharing her story of 16 years of marriage, including the challenges she faced. The first introductory episode which was published on her YouTube Channel four days ago has so far attracted over 1000 subscribers and 10,000 views.

“We’ve decided to make this YouTube Channel where we are going to gather as women, speak about our experiences, feel safe and empower each other. As you already know,” said Daniella.

Adding: “I have survived abuse for 16 years and I would like to share my journey with you.May be some women out there can use it as an escape manual to get out of something like that.”

The mother of five hopes that her Channel will help a lot of women considering the fact that they have a lot of cultural barriers that push them against the wall.

“We are not able to talk about the things we are going through. We are not really able to speak up against our men,our fathers, husbands and brothers. We have lost our voice. I am hoping that through this YouTube channel we can discover that voice we all need,” she noted

According to Daniella, her YouTube channel will be a good resource  on the basis that she is someone who has grown and lived in Africa for the most part of her adult life and now living in the US where she is exposed to different cultures.

She also explained that the diversity the US offers them is going to tap into their different experiences and this will help the people that she represents to come out and speak and never to shut their mouth.

“You can always speak out respectfully, truthfully, you just never know who is listening  and whose life you are changing,” Daniella encouraged fellow women.

Daniella’s relationship with the legendary singer has not been a bed of roses for the years they have spent in marriage. She has come out several times to talk about the things she had to endure during the time she spent in Uganda living under one roof with Chameleone, one of them being a miscarriage she suffered after allegedly being abused by the husband. Her most recent social media post that attracted the attention of everyone was when she declared that she is a single mother who chose to settle in US for the last five years to flee away from domestic violence.
