Afrigo Band will be celebrating their 48th anniversary on August 5 and news we have is that Awilo Longomba will be a big part of it. The deal between both parties was sealed in a meeting between the Talent Africa CEO Ali Alibhai and the band’s lead managers James Wasula and veteran crooner Moses Matovu last week.
Information we have is that the Congolese maestro Awilo Longomba, will not only be the big celebrity act at the celebrations, but will also leave his band behind and has requested to have Afrigo play for him while he perform.
According to our source at Talent Africa, Awilo Longomba holds Afrigo Band in high regard, which is why he has trusted them with this assignment.
