Mpaka Records boss Ykee Benda has come out and advised all Ugandan artistes who have been booked and hoping to be booked for performances in Saudi Arabia to cancel those shows. According to Ykee Benda, the Ugandan promoters in Saudi Arabia are heartless and selfish. “The Ugandan promoters in Saudi Arabia are so heartless. They are few but are so selfish and fight each other all the time and that instead affects the artistes who suffer their consequences,” he said.
Ykee Benda added that something happened to him while in Saudi Arabia because of these wrangles. The singer’s statement came after it was alleged that new kid on the block, Fik Gaza, was arrested in Saudi Arabia a few days ago while Beenie Gunter also spent a number of weeks behind bars in Saudi Arabia earlier this year.
