It is a sunny day in Sandton, Johannesburg, the perfect weather to go out and enjoy a concert and some culinary delights at the annual two-day DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit, a motor racing circuit located in Midrand, Gauteng, South Africa, just north of Johannesburg.
You might want to know that the line-up is an exciting one. Africa’s musical giant Burna Boy will be headlining tonight’s show while legendary 12 Grammy- Awards’winner, Baby Face (yes, Kenneth Brian Edmonds) will be leading the pack tomorrow on a line-up of stage favourites.
The nine-year-old festival brings together some 40, 000 food and music lovers to partake of signature dishes from international chefs and enjoy performances from leading global acts.
Tonight, we are also looking forward to dancing and shaking our bodies to the rhythms of stage acts from G Force, Stereo MCS, Major League DJs, Kwaito Legends, MDU, Kabelo, Thebe, Arthur, Tromples, and Bino Bravo.
There will be a Miria Makeba Tribute at tomorrow’s edition, she is of Malaika fame. Her granddaughter, Zenzi Makeba Lee, will be one of the Sunday night performers as well as another star-studded line-up with audience favourites Digable Planets, Msaki, Simphiwe Dana, and Msaka.
