When you think of Demolition Man, Speed, The Net, Hope Floats, Miss Congeniality and The Proposal you will realise that Sandra Bullock’s history with comedy has been a good one and has earned her big. She was recently ranked by Forbes as the 14th richest female celebrity.
She returns as FBI Special Agent Sarah Ashburn, who together with Melissa McCarthy who plays as no-no-nosense FBI agent Det. Shannon Mullins are out to stop a Russian mobster. You will identify McCarthy as the loveable chef Sooki in Gilmore Girls, and as Megan, the raunchy sister-in-law in the comedy Bridesmaids.
What is funny is that despite pulling off cases as agents they are desperately looking for love. They think they have had enough of the lonely nights and lack some tender loving care. What will they do about it?
As they go about doing their job they won’t hesitate to hit on a few men they think are good looking and can potentially fulfill their desires as women. You can only wonder how far they can go in their quest for company or being loved by good men.
It looks like a good team on The Heat because even director Paul Feig, who worked with McCarthy on the Bridesmaids set earning himself an Oscar nomination, is known for comedy series like The Office and Arrested Development, among others. So you know what to expect in The Heat- good comedy.
