Advertising agency Metropolitan Republic Uganda won an international Creative award from the Loeries Awards ceremony held last weekend in South  Africa.
Metropolitan Republic makes history as the first locally run, local Agency to win this kind of coveted Award.

The annual Loerie Awards, this time held in Cape Town aim at recognising, rewarding and fostering creative excellence in all areas of brand communication.
This year the Loerie Awards created new categories that encouraged entries from outside South Africa. They attracted entries from the rest of Africa and the Middle East in seven different categories covering disciplines from event management and PR, to integrated campaigns.
Metropolitan Republic Uganda, although only being in operation for a year, won a bronze Loerie for its MTN SIM card registration campaign.

“I think this is more for Uganda because it shows we’re coming of age in all we do. Also, our client MTN who allowed us to do something creative that was insightful and would have the intended impact it did,” said Alex Rukundo, Managing Director, Metropolitan Republic Uganda
