Not all battles must be out of envy or grudge, says Chameleone

Bebe Cool and Chameleone

Uganda has witnessed four major musical battles. At least those we know of. Chameleon Bobi Wine, Bebe Cool up against Bobi Wine, Bebe Cool against Goodlyf and the just concluded Cindy and Sheebah.

But there is one battle in waiting that many expect to be massive. A faceoff between Bebe Cool and Chameleon.

It is the deputy speaker of Parlaiment Thomas Tayebwa who steered the conversation of this battle through his social media platforms especially Twitter a few days ago saying that he is ready to support anyone who is willing to invest in this battle and both artistes came out and said they are ready.

However, the essence of the word ‘Battle’ might not apply to these two going by their current relationship. Some people think this should not be termed as a battle but more of a friendly match because the two artistes are more of friends than rivals now contrary to back then when they were archrivals.

However, Jose Chameleon said this is going to be a peaceful battle, one that is going to be more of a celebration of Ugandan music.

“Not all battles must be out of envy or grudge. It is in a way to celebrate Ugandan music, and this has been long overdue,” he said in an interview with After 5.

The legendary artiste also added that this is going to be the first battle where the winner will be known on the day, and he will be bringing his A game because in his words Bebe Cool is not an easy artiste. “He is not an easy artiste. He has a lot of experience, and I am excited.”

He also added that the Uganda music is evolving to different directions and dimensions and battles are healthy because it’s what the fans want.
