Saturday, May 28, 2022, is going to be a big day for the Hip Hop fraternity in Uganda. It is the day that the best rappers are going to be recognized in the annual MTN UG Hip-Hop awards. It will take place at the MTN headquarters starting at 5 pm till late.
The Awards recognises some of Uganda’s best Hip Hop acts for their work and achievements.
This is going to be the 6th edition of the prestigious awards and it seeks to celebrate and amplify the growth of the hip-hop music industry which is predominantly composed of the youth in Uganda.
The Hip Hop fraternity has always been placed between the street corners, all the way to the glossy lighting of the stadium. This is not going to just be an award ceremony but revellers will have a chance to watch some of their biggest artiste perform while rap battles will also take centre stage during the evening.
