Veteran musician Kabuye Semboga of the Ebisanyi fame has finally got a manager. The latest we got is that the artiste has signed up with Ivan Ssozi aka Tude, a former artiste in the group T-Assets. Ssozi is also Bruno K’s manager and Kabuye Semboga might have been impressed by what he is doing to be convinced that he can actually manage him. In fact, the first project Ivan had was to see that both his artistes record a song together and that is where the idea of having “Ebisanyi’ remix came from.
Besides that, Ssozi also proved a point by having Semboga perform at the just-concluded Roast and Rhyme event at Jahazi Pier where he impressed the audience. Kabuye is one of those few artistes in Uganda who has not enjoyed the respect he deserves, despite being a gifted vocalist and lyricist. He started his craft in the late 1970s with Elly Wamala’s Mascots Band and among his songs is Sheila, Kangume, Twebelera Eno, Fahima and Onyambanga which Grace Nakimera remixed.
