Isabirye closes Facebook account after rumours of split with wife, Rebecca

Joel and Rebbecca on their wedding dayOver the weekend,  rumour mills started spreading gossip that famed radio programmer Joel Isabirye and wife Rebecca Isabirye Jjingo had fought and were destined for a break up. The rumours indicated that Joel beat up Jjingo badly to an extent that she failed to turn for her radio show at Beat FM the next morning.

However, before so many people could start asking questions, Joel opted to close down his Facebook account. By press time, Isabirye was not accessible via his Facebook account and his known numbers were switched off since the beginning of the week. However, according to a close friend to Joel, nothing had happened between him and his wife Jjingo.

“Joel’s UK-based former lover Ritah Kaggwa is the source of all these baseless rumours. She concocted a recording and supplied it to tabloids to make them believe the Isabiryes were breaking up. They are together and happy,” the source told us.
And according to a chat between the source and Isabirye before he closed his account, the radio journeyman denied having any problems with his wife and even denied ever having a physical fight with his wife. “I am not a fighter, I have never beaten a woman,” read some of the messages allegedly from Isabirye.
Jjingo’s known numbers didn’t not go through and she didn’t not answer our face book messages. Isabirye walked Jjingo down the aisle at a luxurious wedding last December.
