Museveni joins Uganda Musicians Association

President  Museveni has reportedly joined the Uganda Musicians Association as after paying the Mandatory subscription fee and an additional fee for the association’s identification card.

According to the association’s President Ms Sophie Ggombya, the subscription fees and the identification card money were paid through the Musician’s manager Balaam Barugahare who made the transaction on October 3, 2019, at the association’s offices based at National theatre.

It should be recalled that President Museveni released his debut song called ‘Yes Ssebo’  in 2010, which is an Afro-beat fussed track that features female soloists in the interludes.

It then took him five years to release his next song. In 2015, Museveni released a new song ahead of the national election in 2016 called Yengoma which failed to hit.

Museveni joins a newly crafted musician Out-fit which is marred with controversy and financial constraints that recently the Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) offices at National Theatre where reportedly sealed off over rent.
