Ykee Benda says he will have a concert every two years

Singer Ykee Benda has confirmed that he will host only one concert every two years. The singer will headline his first-ever concert dubbed ‘Singa’ at Kampala Serena Hotel on March 29 followed by Freedom City and other upcountry tours.

The singer who held a press conference at the hotel yesterday said that he always wants to deliver quality and not quantity.

“A quality show needs time so I will make sure I hold a concert once in a space of two years,” Ykee Benda said, adding that a good show always needs time to prepare oneself and make sure each show is better than the previous one.

While at the Press Conference, Bell Lager Brand Manager Mr Francis Kirabira said that Ykee Benda is one of the artistes with a well-organized team and when they approached him for a sponsorship, he wasn’t hesitant because Bell Jams, a music platform that was launched by Uganda Breweries Limited to support the music Industry always looks forward to working with artistes like Ykee Benda.

Ykee Benda who surfaced in the music Industry about three years ago after he did a collaboration of his song titled Farmer didn’t look back. He has done several songs including Malaika, Kyenkyebula, Amina, Onabayo, Singa, Superman, Byonkola and Eva among others.
