The only DJ duo in Uganda which is made of Slickstuart and Roja real names Kavuma Stuart and Kitaka Rogers has sparked a debate of the duo working on splitting or the fact that they have already parted ways. Whereas there are different reasons like the manager Nisha Bridget is in the mix of the separation, others claim it’s the idea of the duo to separate but from the horse’s mouth, Deejay Roja, it is different.
During a recent interview with Deejay Roja, the self-proclaimed 7star Dj said that the brand DJ Slickstuart & Roja has come from far and they cannot allow to see it go down like that. “After our last mixtape party, we have been busy with different projects here and there because both of us are not just Djs like how the rest of Ugandans see us’’ Roja says.
He goes on to say that they are busy with some projects and since their last mixtape party at Serena, they have been focusing on the projects and it is the reason they have not been seen together but once in a while they perform together and sometimes they just meet up for a chill.
Slickstuart and Roja have worked together for over 10 years, they have won awards, collaborated with different artistes on musical projects and started their own signature event which celebrated 7 years at an edition held at Kampala Serena Hotel last year.
As Slickstuart focuses on a tour, Deejay Roja is also into artiste’s management where he is handling the brand Jowy Landa a female singer who is trending at the moment.
