Maulana and Reign to honor Kato Lubwama on Eid Day

Comedy duo Maulana and Reign during the presser

Comedy duo Maulana and Reign are having the third edition of their annual ‘Soyi Soyi’ comedy show on Eid day at UMA show grounds in Lugogo. In this edition, they will honor the late Kato Lubwama.

Speaking at a press conference, the duo said the late comedian inspired them and they were planning something ahead of their show.

“Kato Lubwama contributed a lot to our comedy career. He has been an inspiration for the past nine years and so we have decided to honor him this Eid day,” said Reign.

Asked whether the duo would give the family of the late Kato Lubwama some of the proceeds from the show, Maulana’s reply sent everyone into stitches.

“This is our show and we decided to hold it because we also needed money. We are also orphans, so please come and support us on Eid Day,” he said.

His family members, including his children and wife, might attend the show and a special skit will honor him. Entrance to the show is 20k, 50k, and 500k.
