Roast and Rhyme goes upcountry

The last time Roast and Rhyme happened upcountry, things didn’t go down well as expected. Attendance was low and activities were minimal. This was because the country was still under lockdown.

Two years later, Swangz Avenue has decided to have the 15th edition of Roast and Rhyme in Jinja at the Source of the Nile gardens, Nile Park, and forever resort Njeru.

Themed “Nyam on the Nile” edition, this is anticipated to be a bigger and fun packed out-of-town destination fully packed weekend of adventure in the eastern parts of Uganda for three days from Friday 1st July till Sunday 3rd July 2022.

The three days event will kick start with Friday BonFire night giving revelers a chance to freestyle, Karaoke, and poetry while feasting on roasted wild meats. Saturday will start with touring of the different tourist attractions in Jinja including the source of the River Nile, Quad biking, horse riding, tubing, bungee jumping, and many others before guests are treated to an evening full of meat, live entertainment by some of Uganda’s best artistes before and after-party featuring Deejays.

Sunday will be an all-white brunch and will commence with guests having a chance to taste different food cuisines in the company of soul music from a surprise act.

Tickets for the experience are going for shs150k early birds for three days. Shs180k at the gate and shs100k for a single day.
