Mowzey Radio (R.I.P)
Some people would say without Steve Jean, there would be no Swangz Avenue and this food for thought is based on the fact that both proprietors of the record label once worked at Steve Jean’s Fenon Records. Benon was a producer while Julius Kyazze is said to have been a dancer in a group that was owned by Steve Jean.
Despite being rivals, the Industrial Area-based label has decided to honour Steve Jean, naming one of their audio studios after him. They also honoured the second studio to the late Mowzey Radio by naming it ‘Mark Suudi’ which is the other name he was called in the industry.
