Swangz Avenue apologises on behalf of Nwagi

Winnie Nwagi

Swangz Avenue, a music label that manages and finances artistes Vinka and Winnie Nwagi has come out to clean the ‘mess’ of one of the singers in their camp. The singer in questions is Winnie Nakanwagi known by her trade name Winnie Nwagi.

Nwagi on July 13 posted a video of her performance at the St Mary’s College Kisubi (SMACK). The video that was captioned “Every boys’ single school deserves bby atleast each term… Don’t argue with me am tired ..? #StMarysCollegeKisubi Kadanke was? cheeeiiii??? #loveonly?? #ShowMe Outfit by @kais_divo_collection” showed her and her dancers dance erotically with the male students whom she invited on stage.

The public including her fans thought it was not in order for her to involve the boys in the dance and also thought she didn’t dress appropriately given that she was performing at a single-sex school and for young boys. Nwagi didn’t take this as an issue and even went ahead to ask one of the people who commented on her post if they wanted to fight with her.

One of the comments from one of the users geniusmaxie read, “What are you showing kids” and Nwagi’s reply was “@geniusmaxie What does it look like??” All these comments by Nwagi perhaps showed that everything was okay, unlike her music Umbrella Swangz that thought otherwise.

One week after, Swangz Avenue has come out to apologise on behalf of the singer and through their official Facebook page, they posted, “We deeply regret the inappropriate performance by Winnie Nwagi at St Mary’s College Kisubi on July 13th. We have investigated the incident and measures have been put in place to avoid a repeat of the same. This was a huge error in judgment and both the Artist and the management team acknowledge the pain and mistrust caused by this incident. We apologize to the general public, parents of the students in attendance and the school Administration. Management Swangz Avenue.

Rumour also has it that for a long time now, Swangz Avenue boss Julius Kyazze doesn’t talk to Nwagi and there is no other relationship between the two besides music and it is attached to the singer’s bad behaviors. It is said that every information that Kyazze wants to pass on to Nwagi, he passes it on to her through her ground manager Gonza and the same applys to Nwagi when she has a message for Kyazze.
