Forget about court cases over illegal use of the Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) quality mark on her cosmetic products.
This time round, city businesswoman Irene Nalubwama popularly known as Mama Lususu, which translates to the “mother of beautiful skin” is in news for ‘good things.’
Nalubwama who owns popular beauty parlors across downtown Kampala and is famous for helping women to bleach and lighten their skin tone on Saturday walked down the aisle with the love of her life, Emmanuel Kayondo barely a month after their introduction ceremony.
Their luxurious marriage ceremony was held at Rubaga Cathedral.
Nalubwama who also helps to repair skin damaged by the improper use of bleaching chemicals or even stain removers at home later drove her hubby to Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala where they hosted their guests who included local musicians, dignitaries and officials from the Buganda Kingdom.
Local musician Jennifer FullFigure who was her matron urged Mama Lususu to respect her man with whom they have three kids and treat him like her best friend.
“The man she has gotten married to is a prince. She has made a lot of money but she should never undermine him. You need to respect your husband Kayondo. You should never take your marriage for granted. Make your hubby your best friend. Some people think love is about sex yet is not. Challenges in marriage never end, therefore never give up,” FullFigure advised.
