Malia Obama has allegedly found love at Harvard.
The former first daughter kicked off her second semester at the Ivy League school by, from the looks of several new photos, taking her new relationship public as she strolled the streets of New York on Saturday. The lucky man is Rory Farquharson, a British student who began attending Harvard last year, according to usatoday.com.
Prior to attending Harvard, Farquharson’s posh credentials include winning the title of Head Boy at the prestigious English boarding school the Rugby School. The Rugby School confirmed that Farquharson would be attending Harvard in a press release celebrating his pre-university exam scores.
For the most part, Twitter was jubilant about the new pairing and celebrated Obama “living her best life.”
The Telegraph reports that Farquharson, like Obama, is 19 years old. He began at Harvard last year, posting a photo on the Ivy League school’s campus and captioning it, “So it begins.” Farquharson has since deleted his social media profiles.
Malia Obama began her first year at Harvard this fall after spending a gap year traveling and interning at the Weinstein film company. Her parents, Barack and Michelle, are both Harvard Law graduates.
Obama’s extracurricular activities sparked controversy in November when a video circulated around the Internet showing her allegedly blowing smoke rings. Stars including Ivanka Trump and Chelsea Clinton came to her defense and argued for her privacy.
