Mike Mukula elected Patron of Uganda Music Association

Captain Mike Mukula is the Patron of the Uganda Music Association after being elected yesterday afternoon in a meeting that happened at Silver Springs, Bugolobi.

Mukula, whose love for the entertainment industry can’t go unnoticed will now be one of the main decision makers in this new initiative started by artistes with the aim of overpowering Uganda Arts Performing Society (UPRS).

After being elected to that position, Captain Mukula highlighted the need for musicians to unite and build formidable brands and in the process of strengthening the association, he contributed shs5million.

Speaking about Mukula’s appointment, the chairman of the association Julius Kyazze who is also the CEO of Swangz Avenue said that Mukula comes at a time when they are ushering in a new wave of change.

“Captain Mike Mukula loves Uganda’s music. Putting him in this position is a new wave that the future is indeed bright for Ugandan musicians,” he said.

This meeting was also used to elect new members on the executive committee and among those elected include Ykee Benda, Eddy Kenzo and Haruna Mubiru among others.
