Little known singer warns Pastor Sematimba off his song


Things are not that glossy for Busiro MP candidate and Super Fm boss Peter Sematimba. Just after overcoming a petition in the NRM electoral commission where his victory in the primaries was contested by his opponents, he has a new challenge.
A little known artiste Badru Magala, aka Shey Gadah, claims to have recorded a campaign song for the man of God, titled Tuwagira Sematimba.
Gadah says he expected Pr Sematimba to pay him, but to his shock, the man of God has never given him a penny.
“Whenever I call him, he says he is busy. I have been to his office several times, but his people push me away,” Gadah said.
Gadah told our sources that he believes his song played a big role in earning Sematimba victory in the party primaries.
“I feel cheated; if he does not have money to pay me, at least let him talk to me and we agree; but using my song against my will is plagiarism and disrespecting my property.”
Gadah threatened to report Sematimba to police and have him arrested for copyright abuse. Efforts to contact Pastor Ssematimba were futile by press time.
