As a tablet, the Surface 3 is bigger than the usual tabs and it offers a little more than most tabs. The 10.8-inch tablet has aUSB port, mini display port, headset jack and a micro SD slot underneath the hinge of the key stand. Microsoft swapped its magnetic charging mechanism to a regular phone USB charger. It also features a full USB charger if you buys the right adaptor.
This gadget features three ways of use. It comes with a keyboard that is attached at the hinge, making it look more like a laptop. Secondly, you can use an ace pen to tap on the screen and lastly, the usual touch screen method with your fingers.
One of the highlights of this gadget is its battery life which the compnay claims has a span of 12 hours of use in full capacity before, it goes into hibernation mode. Though the Surface 3 can be upgradable to Windows 10, it ships in with windows 8.1. The most notable downside of this gadget is that the track pad and keyboard do not use this operating system to the fullest.
