At the beginning on 2014, events host and NTV Xpozed TV show presenter MC Kats, real name Edwin Katamba announced that he would walk down his musician girlfie Fille Mutoni down the aisle last September.
However, by September, tabloids were busy running stories that Fille had dumped Kats “like a hot tomato!” But Kats came out and told us that the tabloid reports were being fueled by certain evil-wishing individuals.
And while they were not able to make it official last year, it ended with Kats and Fille making a very important step closer to their wish to become husband and wife.
On Monday (December 29), Fille’s mother, Ms Mutamba Oddette and her auntie (senga) made an official visit to Kat’s family in Busega.
According to sources close to Fille, in her culture, the Senga and her mum make an official visit to her man’s family to ascertain where their daughter is going.
Fille and her elders were received by Kats’ mother, Pastor Juliet Lubanga at her residence in Busega. Pr Juliet was in company of her sisters and Kats’ siblings. While Fille and her entourage dressed up in traditional fabric for the event, Kats and his siblings dressed down in usual T-shirts and sagging jeans.
However, Kats’ mum dressed up in a more formal attire, albeit not the traditional Gomesi.
After the meal, Kats’ and Fille’s mothers took off sometime and discussed their children’s relationship before Fille’s mum announced to Kats that she will henceforth consider him as a son.
Kats told us that they are currently working on their kuhingira (introduction) which he said will take place in a few months’ time.
