Muziki’s Darassa coming to Uganda

Can we get a hallelujah for this one! If you ask many Ugandans who the guy behind the Muziki song that has been ruling airwaves is, chances are they have no idea. Well, Darassa the guy behind the track, has been tipped to come to Uganda. He may probably have only one song known to Ugandans, but we can do with that. News reaching us is that the Tanzanian artiste (yes, he aint Kenyan), will be flying into the country in October and will perform at a DJ event headlined by DJ Fikie. The event dubbed The Beginning of my Journey will take place at Game Club in Wandegeya – former Steak Out.
DJ Fikie said he has been working with Darassa. “Because of the friendship we have established with the singer, he will not charge me any coin and will foot his bills while in Uganda because he is also excited to come to Uganda for the first time and he plans to stay for a week or two.”
Darassa, real name Sharif Thabit Ramadhan, has a case at police after he was booked for a show in Kenya early this month but failed to turn up. We hope history doesn’t repeat itself when October comes.
