THE VIDEO: Singa – John Blaq ft Lydia Jazmine

Everything is right about this video, the costuming, Jazmine has a seamless change from one to another. The lighting is without shadows, it is a blend of the vintage spring. And the locations change just as one would wish. And because everything is right, one wonders; ‘why is it not just adding up?’

Why do the spirits in this video seem dampened? Seems like a failure for the two energies to merge on scene. The chemistry just does not surface. There is something unnatural about it, something on the lines of forced, fearful, and this rubs off on the viewer.

There is a resurrection to the blend, the spirit, towards the end when the rainy scene comes around. Then Jazmine and John Blaq get into their full act. But before that, everything leading to this lacks that full bond, the familiarity. It is two strangers trying to play romance, and it fails in this video!
