For the last four years, Bebe Cool has been releasing a list of the top artistes every year in different categories. Much as the list has been received with controversy, it has been highly anticipated every year.
While addressing the press a few days ago, Bebe Cool said that there are going to be some changes in his list as he will be awarding the top artiste with a house.
“I will be rewarding artistes with a house in my awards. My team and I are going to buy land and in March we shall kick off the building process with the help of sponsors. The president will be giving out the land title on the 2nd of 2024 to the top artiste and that will be the case every year,” Bebe Cool said.
This he said has been a result of artistes working hard but not getting anything tangible out of their careers.
“We spent a lot of time going abroad to attend award ceremonies and also spending a lot of money in the process just to win a wooden stick or a glass accolade that could easily break. I have so many at my house that I no longer have a safe place to keep them. I asked myself that instead of these accolades, why don’t I create something tangible? Something that will make someone so proud. Instead of someone singing for 50 years without a house, someone can work hard and win it in just one year. That is where the whole idea came from.” Bebe Cool added.
The self-proclaimed Big size has returned with his annual Tondeka E’Kiwatule show happening on Boxing day at Kiwatule recreation centre.
