DJs Roja and Slick Stuart release video featuring Ykee Benda

The DJ duo of Roja and Slick Stuart which is also the only duo in Uganda, has proved they are not only in entertainment industry as disc jockeys. The two DJs have joined the music industry in terms of releasing songs. When we say releasing songs, we don’t mean they do the music writing and voicing, but, they work with artistes who do the music and their role is to come up with musical ideas and then own the song in the end.

Dj Roja and Slick Stuart have worked with Nutty Neithan on a song titled Walk to Work and also with Jamal Wasswa on the song Ready to Go.

And now, the two have released a new video featuring dancehall artiste Ykee Benda of the Farmer fame. The video titled Eva was shot at Café Ceylon in Naguru near Panamera Bar and Lounge and was directed by Lukyamuzi Bashir. When they premiered the video, on Tuesday evening, many were surprised to see Hellen Lukoma as the video vixen.

When we spoke to the DJs, they said that Lukoma is their friend and not only a friend but a beautiful friend – the kind of person they wanted to feature in the video. “We won’t disclose how much we put in the video but just know it is too much money,” Deejay Roja said.
