Omara

A few weeks ago, rumours started spreading that Daniel Omara who featured in popular NTV Hostel series as Odoch was on his way out of the series. And Omara confirmed the rumours when he posted on his Facebook wall, “Tomorrow marks the end of a great journey… It was a fun ride, but it’s time to move on.”

Omara joined famous Fun Factory comedians Richard Tuwangye and Kudzu Isaac who featured in the series as Twine and Sober respectively and threw in the towel. And just like the other two comedians, it’s rumoured that Omara quit his role in the series over failure to meet a demand for a pay rise.
According to critics, Omara’s character Odoch was the most popular character in the series. Odoch was a village boy who had found his way to university and was struggling to fit in the dynamic hostel life of a city university.

And to confirm Odoch’s exit from the series, the makers of the series included an episode where Odoch passed on the previous Saturday. But Omara didn’t leave the series an unhappy man. Off TV, the Crackers comedian was celebrating a big achievement, as his girlfriend announced that she is expecting.
