Chameleon in a bitter war with Trace MZIKI

Recently, Jose Chameleon was embroiled in a brawl with NTV’s the Beat and Club Gurvnor music man Dj Bryan after it was alleged that the Leone Island boss beat him up for not playing his music. It was later said that the club had put a ban on him and any of his group mates from the club premises

He later came out to clear the situation claiming it was beef between the club and him for refusing to perform at their club and performing at a different club close by.

Then after there was an image that circulated social media indicating that Ugandan deejays had decided not to play Chameleon’s music following the incident that happened at Club Play, where the Leone Island singer allegedly assaulted their fellow deejay.

Trace Urban’s new East African music channel, Trace Mziki then shared the same image on their Instagram page and Jose did not take Trace Mziki’s Instagram post lightly and rushed to his Facebook page and wrote a lengthy message blaming the TV channel for preaching hate and allegedly promoting disunity in the music industry.

Jose Chameleon’s FB post read “Shame on Trace Mziki. You are exploiting hearsay than living as example by Unifying Africa Musically! Professionalism is than this- I have existed 16 years not by Favor or anything close. It’s Fans and the almighty who have given me an audience that you must achieve, The person doing your PR right here is not adding value to the Trace Brand we music makers have hoped to redeem us from segregation and all sorts. We anticipated your arrival but if this is the way then I am going back to school to learn and come seek a job,”

“You can’t go so far without the Key Players who have grown this industry from nothing. If we didn’t gather East Africa together musically you would never find a ready market for your viewership,” Chameleon noted, before adding, “We must partner to add and build Value to redeem our African music coz it defines who we are. I am built on pillars made by the people who believe in my music therapy.”

Chameleon further warned Trace Mziki on its approach, which he said “will paralyze the channel and East African Music entirely.” And vowed not to bow to blackmail.
