Local comedienne Anne Kansiime has been nominated in the UK-based awards celebrating black women
Anne Kansiime who has enjoyed 2016 traveling all over the world for shows is crowning the year off with international recognition
Kansiime has been nominated in the category of Young Woman Achiever of the year and Female Artist of the year.
The awards which are now in their third edition are slated for Saturday, 3rd December 2016 at the Doubletree Hilton, Victoria Way United Kingdom.
Founded by Lindani Moyo in 2013, the annual awards ceremony is increasingly becoming a permanent fixture on the calendar for the UK’s black community. Though it is open to everyone, it is particularly a vehicle of great significance to the empowerment of black women. For the young woman achiever award, Kansiime will battle it out with Perdita Sam Otoo, Hayley Venus and Nyane Lebotjoa, while for the female artist of the year award, she will battle with Queen Patience Khanyile, Sis Maneli and Busi Mhlanga.
