Producer Didi reveals HIV status, vows to raise awareness

Producer Didi

Music producer Didi, whose real name is Abdul Karim Muchwa, has publicly revealed that he is HIV positive. In a video clip, he shared that he discovered his status after a recent hospital visit for a checkup. “I have HIV, the virus that causes AIDS,” he said. “I confirmed this after a hospital visit.”

Despite this challenge, Didi is determined to use his platform to raise awareness and promote positivity. “My next journey will involve sensitizing people to live positively,” he announced. “I will continue supporting talented artists and working with industry professionals, including musicians and producers, to help young creatives succeed.”

Didi’s 15-year career has yielded numerous hits, including Eddy Kenzo’s “Stamina,” “Bolingo,” and “Sitya Loss,” Henry Tigan’s “Empisazo,” Gift of Kado’s “Traffic Man Officer,” Coco Finger’s “Mikono Wagulu,” and “My Miss,” among others.
