Sammy Wetala
Sammy Wetala really has his hands full. From being a presenter on The Beat, to being an actor, he is stepping into a new role and transitioning into events management. Earlier this year, Sammy tested the waters by being part of the team behind the Davido concert. With the success of the concert, it looks as though he decided to channel his efforts into creating something uniquely his, creating an experience, hence the birth of Mics of Kla.
Sammy launched the first edition of Mics of Kla in partnership with Don Julio in an intimate setting at Guvnor last Friday, featuring Rwandan artiste Mike Kayihura, whose performance left the audience mesmerised. According to Wetala, the music event was born out of a desire to celebrate live music and give fans an up-close experience with their favourite artistes. Well in Sammy!
