UB40 electrifies Kampala revelers down memory lane

‘UB40 featuring Ali Campbell’s performance left Kampala revelers electrified as they drove down memory lane, chorusing the music group’s sweet melodies.

The Saturday night concert at Kololo ceremonial grounds showcased one of the best performances Ugandans will ever see as the crowd erupted in cheers for every song, highlighting the timeless appeal of ‘UB40 ft Ali Campbell.’ Classics like Cherry Oh Baby, I Got You Babe, Kingston Town and Red Red Wine electrified the audience, creating during the two sessions the band played between 9:40pm and 11:30pm.

Organized by Talent Africa Group, the Kololo Independence Grounds also witnessed an extraordinary night featuring stellar performances from Ugandan talents; Wakiso Kids, Elijah Kitaka, Navio, The Mith, Vinka, Bebe Cool, Abeeka band, Party People as well as comedy duo Madrat and Chiko, among others. Their exceptional sets set the stage for the main act.

What set this concert apart was not just the outstanding musical acts but also the meticulous planning and execution.

Talent Africa Group boss Aly Alibhai described the concert as world class production.

“It was a pleasure to work with the legendary UB40 featuring Ali Campbell who put on a spectacular show and a world class production,” he said.

It left a lasting memory as a testament to the vibrant spirit and cultural richness of Uganda’s entertainment scene.
