Comedian Maulana Kasozi
Following an arrest warrant that was issued over the weekend for comedian Maulana Kasozi by Mwanga 2 Court, he has been arrested.
In a video doing rounds on social media, Maulana is seen being pushed on a police patrol pickup and driven away.
It is reported that the comedian defied court orders to take care of his three children after failing to raise Shs15,000 daily.
He was reported by Shubira Naluja who happens to be the mother of his three children.
“He is not doing anything. I struggle to look for what to feed the children. The landlord is demanding rent and previously he used to visit and leave with pennies which couldn’t help us. And when I felt I couldn’t take it anymore, he asked me to give him the children,” she had narrated on Bukedde TV last Saturday.
In response to the allegations, Maulana took to social media to defend himself, claiming that Naluja suffered from a mental disorder and disclosed that she had allegedly attempted to poison both of them and went ahead to share a referral note from Butabika Hospital.
