UB40 featuring Ali Campbell concert postponed

The UB40 featuring Ali Campbell concert that was scheduled for this Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Kololo Airstrip has been postponed.

In a released statement, the reason for the push is because of a certain event that will be happening at the venue the previous day.

“It is with sincere regret and disappointment that we announce the unexpected postponement of the UB40 featuring Ali Campbell concert scheduled for the 21st day of December 2023 at the Kololo Independence Grounds due to an unforeseeable event at the same venue that is beyond our control,” reads part of the statement.

This unexpected development has left us all disheartened and we extend our sincere apologies to our stakeholders, partners, and customers for any inconvenience this may have caused. A new date celebrating NBS at 15 will be communicated in due course and all tickets remain valid.”

The postponement of the concert IS however believed to be because of 1st Deputy Prime Minister of Uganda Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga’s “The Path Way to Greatness” book launch that is happening at the same venue tomorrow (Wednesday) which has caused disorganization for the organizers to set-up in one day.

“Delighted to announce that tomorrow afternoon, I will be launching my book “Pathway to Greatness” at Kololo airstrip at 3:00pm,” she posted on her X account.

UB40 ft. Ali Campbell will be performing at the World Tennis League for this year’s sporting and entertainment event in Abu Dhabi in a special ‘Reggae Night’ concert on Saturday, December 23, 2023.
