Executing the business side of music is among the several challenges that African creatives usually face. As musicians move to fix the void between music and business Trace Academia has introduced an Ultimate African Music Business Course.

It is understood that Trace Academia, the mobile app offering free courses and certificates dedicated to jobs, entrepreneurship, and soft skills, has teamed up with the legendary Masters of the Industry (M.O.T.I) to introduce a groundbreaking Music Business Course to help African musicians.

In a rapidly evolving global music scene, Trace Academia and M.O.T.I aim to empower aspiring musicians and artistes with knowledge as the ultimate weapon.

Beneficiaries will tap into the knowledge of Munya Chanetsa’s M.O.T.I and the brilliant music teacher, Tatenda Mhudhuru from South Africa’s Steyn City School.

According to the statement released in Johannesburg on 26 July 2023, the Music Business Course is packed with key features to empower aspiring music professionals and artistes. It will turn their dreams into reality.

The course will unleash the power of music from composition to performance. It will dive into the art of computer-aided music for digital masterpieces, and discover the secrets of top-notch sound engineering for pristine audio production.

“We are thrilled to launch the Music Business Course on TRACE Academia, as we believe it will be a game-changer for all music enthusiasts, aspiring professionals, and artists seeking to break barriers in the music industry,” said Olivier Laouchez, co-founder, and Executive Chairman at Trace.
