When Don Andre headlined Showmax comedy show in Kenya

Comedian Andrew Odongo alias Don Andre

Comedian Andrew Odongo alias Don Andre was the headlining comedian over the weekend at the event dubbed ‘Comedy Riot’. The ‘Comedy Riot’ is a show that will be featured on Showmax after Don Andre featured on the 12th edition that took place in Kenya at Signature Auditorium at Western Heights in Nairobi.

The show kicked off at 6 pm with a red carpet and by 7 pm, the auditorium was full to the brim as the Kenyans waited for the real action to start. The host of the night Oluoch Kariuki was the first on stage and raised the temple as he made the crowd lively before inviting the first act on stage. Eddie Butita was the first comedian who took to the stage to crack a few jokes before Don Andre, the headliner of the show was invited on stage by Fena Gitu, a Kenyan celebrated rapper.

Don Andre’s stage entrance involved singer Nameless’s song ‘Sinzia‘, this carried away Kenyans and they were excited about how a Ugandan chose to use their song instead of a Ugandan song. Andre went on to crack jokes that got them to laugh their lungs out and one of the jokes was about his mother and how prayerful she is.

Don Andre is one of Uganda’s fast-rising comedians who has graced most of the comedy shows in Uganda and outside Uganda. Don Andre is among the group of comedians who contributed to the content of the Kansiime show that features Pearl Magic Prime. He also has his comedy platform known as Chalk on Jokes, a platform that uses comedy to fight mental health in youths.
