Socialite Charles Olim alias Sipapa is on the run after allegedly stealing money from a South Sudanese national.
According to the Ugandan police, Sipapa stole over $400,000, phones and other items from the South Sudanese national known as Jacob Arop.
“We are looking for Sipapa on allegations of robbery,” Senior Commissioner of Police Fred Enanga said Monday.
He added that thugs entered in the residence of Jacob Arop, used chloroform to sedate him and stole US$420,000, (Shs1,6 billion), laptops and iphones.
It is said that these items were found in Sipapa’s house where his wife attempted to hide US$70,000 (Shs269 million) in the shoes, but the detectives were able to recover it.
They also recovered the phones and laptops from his house.
