It looks like 2022 is there for the taking for fashion designer Joe Malaika. From becoming the official designer for NBA player Kendrick Perkins just a few days ago, Joe Malaika was voted the 2022 Best Clothing designer in the Best of Boston.
“In tears, sorry cannot keep calm, I was named Boston’s Best Designer 2022,” Joe Malaika said after hearing news of the milestone.
Born Joe Mutebi Malaika, the designer was in 2016 recognised by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for using fashion to support the Jimmy Fund and Dana Farber Cancer Research. He has showcased his designs in the US, Dubai (Arab Fashion Week) London and Paris (Paris Fashion Week).
Known for his colourful and bold fashion, Joe Malaika has dressed some high-profile personalities such as NUP president Bobi Wine and socialite Zari. He was also behind the suit in A Pass’ ‘Dididada‘ video. Congratulations Malaika!
