There has been no wasting time for Miss Tourism 2020/21 who got to work last week, a month after her crowning.
The whole of last week, Suzan Kahunde Adyeeri together with First Runner Up Phiona Opoa, Second Runner Up Rashidah Namukwaya and face of Ice Tours and Travels Hellen Evans were in Toro Region on official duty.
They were welcomed by the city’s mayor Edison Asaba Ruyonga in a visit that was tagged the Homecoming of the Queen after her crowning.
Among some activities that Kahunde championed was cleaning Fort Portal city in a campaign dubbed Keep Fort Portal City Clean.
On the second day the group visited Great Lakes Hospital before heading to Mountain of the Moons University, where the queen shared her plans to work together with the university body to empower the girl child in Toro.
The activities were climaxed with the visit to Jabulani Art Gallery in the hub of Fort Portal City.
This year’s Miss Tourism took place at Kampala Serena Hotel on October 2 in a scientific setting. Unlike the recent editions, this year’s Miss Tourism International will happen in Malaysia but participants will not travel but rather participate in the competitions virtually.
