Recently nominated for the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) alongside South Africa’s ‘Sew the winter to My Skin’, Ugandan film on cancer Veronica’s Wish will be screening at the Silicon Valley African Film Festival in California in the United States.
Veronica’s Wish which is the reigning Uganda Film Festival (UFF) Film of the year will again be making a record as it will be the opening film for the festival at the historical Hoover Theatre in San Jose.
At the Uganda Film Festival, Veronica’s Wish won 9 awards which included Best Feature Film, Best Cinematography and Best Screen Play among others. The film tells the story of a woman who struggles with love after she is diagnosed with Cancer.
The Silicon Valley African Film Festival promotes an understanding and appreciation of Africa and Africans through moving images.
