I was the first to reject Tubonga Nawe – GNL

GNL Zamba

Creatives have been under scrutiny from the public this week and among those who have been called out is comedian Salvado, rapper GNL Zamba, comedian Alex Muhangi, among others. The public, especially on X have been asking where their loyalty is in regard to the ongoing parliamentary corruption scandals. But the calling out has unearthed some secrets that we probably would not have found out.

In his reply to one of the tags on X, GNL revealed that he was the first artiste to reject the Tubonga Nawe project.

“I was the first artiste to reject Tubonga Nawe project and money, created an album about unity, rejected several offers to join government, song number 9 on my last album is about a people fed up with corruption,” GNL wrote.

This was after an X user, only identified as Shamim tweeted saying ever since GNL got married, he does not want to know yet his other female counterparts have joined the struggle.
