Basket Mouth proves he’s Africa’s King of comedy

Prior to the show, Basket Mouth termed comedians who repeat jokes in the same venue as ‘Lazy’. We all waited for him to make that mistake of repeating the jokes he cracked last year at Africa Laughs that happened at Serena.

He might have read our minds this time round as he came with a completely new agenda. The Nigerian comedian made sure that most of the jokes he cracked are new to our ears and the two jokes he repeated were all refreshed.

The legendary comedian gave us 45-minutes of laughter from the moment he stepped on stage, tackling different topics like his trips abroad, Nigerians and also Ugandans as well. One of the funniest jokes he cracked was his advice to the women. “If you go to a bar or any hangout and a guy insists on taking you to his home, just agree. Go with him enter the house and entice him but before he touches you, excuse yourself and go to the bathroom then tell one of your friends to call you in exactly 15 minutes. Spend at least 13 minutes in there, then move out for one minute and when she calls, mute the call and say…Yes dia.

I know it’s time to take my medication but the skin rush has gone and I’m no longer coughing. He will drop all the thoughts in his head,” he narrated before adding that the trick can work on other people not Nigerians because a Nigerian man will also call his friend and tell him that he has found his companion. Someone he’s going to spend the rest of his sick life with.

Before Basket Mouth, another Nigerian comedian known as Bochi was on stage but his skits were not as funny as expected.

Senga Nantume, Madrat and Chiko, Mariachi, Maulana and Reign as well as Teacher Mpamiire are the other comedians who performed while musicians Spice Diana and Ray G concluded this specific edition of the show.
