Last Friday, we woke up to news that Miss Jane Kasubo, the mother to the late Mowzey Radio had reported a case against Weasel, Chagga and Emotions accusing them of duplicating and selling off her son’s songs without the families consent and failure to do so would lead to the three to be arrested.
It was, however, only Chagga who made an appearance at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) offices.
This raised questions of whether Weasel would make it to the birthday celebrations and album listeners party of the late Goodlyf musician at DNA lounge where he was part of the organizing committee.
Indeed the musician was in attendance. Along with other stakeholders in the entertainment industry to celebrate the birth of one of Uganda’s music legends.
The party was a sell-out as people drank and danced to Radio’s songs all night through while some found it necessary to pick up the microphone and sing some verses.
Some of the renowned celebrities who came through include Pallaso, Eddy Kenzo, Lydia Jazmine, Big Eye, Atlas, Kasita Karole and Salvado among others.
What was special about this party was that there were three cakes which the celebrities cut to mark 36 years of Mowzey Radio.
