Quinn Abenakyo’s triumph at the recently concluded Miss World pageant comes at a time when most people had lost hope in Miss Uganda but the 22 year old has suddenly resurrected the franchise.

One of her beauty with a purpose project is ensuring that the girl child is in a better position and today, she gave some advice to all young ladies out there during a press conference that happened at Kampala Sheraton Hotel.

During the presser Abenakyo said that in order to succeed, one needs to put God first and believe in themselves.

“If you want to be successful in life, believe in God first, then believe in yourself because it starts with you. Many times we look at international celebrities as role models but that is wrong. Personally, I look at my family members as my role models because I’ve seen and know their stories more than anyone,” she said.

Abenakyo was given a heroine’s welcome yesterday at Entebbe international airport and from there she was taken to state house Entebbe where she met the president.
