Many of our local artistes did not complete school until university level and notable among those are the Mayanja brothers. While we have heard many excuses such as not having the opportunity, music calling them and what not, singer Douglas Mayanja known to many as Weasel has come out a little more honestly.

Spice Diana’s graduation party was also attended by Eddy Kenzo.

Speaking at Singer Spice Diana’s graduation party in Makindye last week, Weasel said the reason he did not go beyond Senior Four was because things were hard for him. “Congratulations my sister Spice Diana, thanks for finishing school, I tried but failed because things were hard,” Weasel said.

In an Interview a few years ago, Joseph ‘Chameleone’ Mayanja, said Weasel was influenced to drop out of school by one of his friends who worked at a washing bay. Chameleone went as far as Senior Six at Kawempe Muslim School.
