Renown fashionista Sylvia Owori says Ugandans should watch her next move following her appointment as Executive Assistant to General Salim Saleh, the Chief Coordinator Operation Wealth Creation (OWC).
After swallowing a lot of Champagne during the grand opening of the Pearl of Africa Hotel on Sunday, the socialite opened up to this Journalist and flashed out her crisp new business card from the Office of the president which shows her as the executive assistant to the chief coordinator OWC.
Specifically, she is in charge of public private partnership relations and her role is to look for projects that can work with OWC to ensure that the project achieves its target. With the way she popularised the fashion, design and modelling industry in Uganda, she says her 20-year experience in the business which created many partnerships, is going to be shifted to OWC, to make it work.
“I did not ask for the job neither did I look for it. It just found me,” she says.
Owori has not yet been officially unveiled, seven months since her appointment but she is currently working with enthusiasm to sex up the image of army led operation aimed at kicking poverty out of Uganda by 2020.
She is specifically excited by this new appointment and her new role because it is President Museveni’s baby and dream. So if you have not been calling Sylvia of recent, this is to let you know that she has fallen in real things
