Last Saturday night, Eddy Kenzo started his one-man African tour. It kicked off well as the Estádio 24 de Setembro in Guinea Bissau, where he started his show was full. The stadium can accommodate 20,000 people.

When we spoke to him, the excited Kenzo said, “I am taking on Africa now. Un-tasted waters. No Ugandan artiste has ever filled a stadium out of Uganda in a one-man show and I just did it. I saw Diamond Platinumz fill stadiums and I told myself, very scared meanwhile, that I would try it. I was so worried. Gates opened and people were a bit few. I had my man at the gates and my manager called to check on him and he said things were okay but he didn’t think we would make half the stadium. But two hours later it was a different situation. Midway my performance and the pitch was full. People left the stands and came onto the pitch. I very happy. Thanks Diamond for the challenge now next is Ethiopia. I am so blessed. God is Good.”
