Unlike many event organisers who rest after a successful event, comedian Dolibondo simply felt an immediate urge to even work more after a successful second edition of the Camp Comedy blow out.
The show that was held on Good Friday in Jinja, attracted a sizeable crowd with a sizeable number of tourists. Well, while he worked so hard to ensure the event attracted a good crowd, Dolibondo did not know that some potential sponsors were watching. And if at all he had the slightest idea, he must have thought along the line of beverage companies.
Well, to his shock, Great Lakes Safaris, one of the leading tour operators in the region- owned by tourism enthusiast Amos Wekesa, was watching and they developed interest in being part of the event.
And since then, Dolibondo has had back and forth meetings with the tour operators. And earlier this week, Dolibondo got good news from Great Lakes Safaris.
Dolibondo told us that Great Lakes Safaris agreed to get on board as sponsors for the Camp Comedy; however, he remained tightlipped about details of the deal, saying it was “highly confidential”.
An extremely-excited Dolibondo told us that unlike last year, he will be holding another Camp Comedy show sometime later this year.
